Toby Burgess was very closely involved in the design of Casa Kike by Gianni Botsford Architects, using digital environmental design tools to design a building aligned to the predominant wind for passive ventilation, with an economical timber truss envelope to prevent solar gain to the interior. The house was awarded the prestigious RIBA Lubetkin Prize in 2008.
